Kaeshira stared down at her reflection in the water and frowned a bit. “He’s gotta go back ‘n work on his research. But I doh’t want ‘im to go.” She placed her chin in her hands. “He’s gonna go ‘n stay there ‘n he’s gonna die ‘n I’m never gonna see ‘im again.”
“Ask if you can go with him,” She suggested quietly, although she felt as though this wasn’t exactly.. A good answer. No doubt that at least had occurred to the Breton. She wasn’t a foolish woman. ”…And you keep saying he’s going to die. You’re sure about that?” She felt so foolish, asking questions when she should have been supportive… But the fact of the matter was that she really had no idea what she was dealing with. ”Is he ill?”
She was silent for a while. She did plan on returning with him, but she wouldn’t be welcome for very long. Eventually she’d have to come back and leave him alone. That’s what she worried about. “…In’a sense,” she muttered, trying her best not to cry.
